Professional Bio

Genevieve is a deaf screenwriter and actor. In her first year she won the coveted Red Planet Prize which is in development with ITV. She is a Screenstar of Tomorrow. Earlier this year, she co-wrote THEN BARBARA MET ALAN, a single drama about the passing of the Disability Discrimination Act with Jack Thorne for Dragonfly/BBC/ Netflix. Her first produced credit, 'Thunderbox' was part of BBC America's BAFTA nominated CRIPTALES which went on to win the Prix Italia. As well as original series in development, she is part of Peter Bowker's writersroom for RALPH AND KATIE, the A Word spin off. She has another co-writing project with Jack Thorne. As an actor, Genevieve is known for her roles in the BBC's The Silence, BAFTA winning series The Fades and most recently Channel 4's The Accident. She is one of the founders of lobbying group Underlying Health Conditions, with Jack Thorne, Katie Player and Holly Lubran to tackle the lack of accessibility for disabled people working in the television industry.
