Diane is a BAFTA nominated actor, writer and director.

Diane created, wrote, directed and starred in comedy pilot MANDY, which aired in 2019. Following its success a full series was commissioned, which Diane also wrote, directed and starred in, and aired on BBC Two in August 2020 and was the highest rated comedy on the channel that summer.

Diane is probably best known for her incarnation of professional dim-wit ‘Philomena Cunk’, who originated on CHARLIE BROOKER’S WEEKLY WIPE. Due of the overwhelming popularity of the character the BBC commissioned two comedy specials fronted by Philomena; BAFTA nominated CUNK ON SHAKESPEARE and the festive special CUNK ON CHRISTMAS and subsequently a 5-part series entitled CUNK ON BRITAIN, all of which aired on BBC Two.

Diane stars in Ricky Gervais’ hit comedy AFTER LIFE, all 12 episodes currently available on Netflix and series 3 due out later this year. She also plays the regular role of Fiona in FRAYED (Sky/HBO Max), written by and starring Sarah Kendall, produced by Merman. The second series of FRAYED will be released later this year. In December 2020 Diane starred in the Netflix comedy special DEATH TO 2020 alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Hugh Grant and Lisa Kudrow, the special was exec produced by Charlie Booker and Annabel Jones.

Diane plays the regular role of Liz in critically acclaimed comedy series, MOTHERLAND, written by Sharon Horgan, Holly Walsh and Graham and Helen Linehan. In December 2020 the Motherland Christmas special aired on BBC Two and the third series is currently airing on BBC Two.
